1. According to Hugh Aynesworth (82 now) (at that time a (space-aviation) journalist from the The Dallas Morning News), the attitude within The Southern middle class (and upwards), towards Kennedy was right-out hostile.
2. Within those social-economic segments, Kennedy was considered a communist, an anti-Christ (because of his RC conviction) and a traitor on race (un-) equality.
3. The aforementioned Dallas Newspaper led a very negative anti-Kennedy campaign in the months ahead of the visit of the (on the nation level) highly celebrated and highly admired, highly glamorous Kennedy couple.
4. The paper even published an anti-Kennedy advertisement which had been sponsored by regional Texan businessmen
